I first tried the Free Z/A version in ‘03 and liked it so much I bought the "PRO"; have been using it ever since. It is now on my Vista and works seamlessly! It’s well worth the money, you can tweak the firewall, antispyware, programs & components, your email, cookies, ad-blocking, etc. to your liking. One absolutely fabulous extra that you don't get in the free version is the "Identity Protection" where you can store EXTREMELY personal data (i.e. SS#, your addrs, Driv. Lic.#, Creditcard #s, email, bank acct.#s, passport#, birthdate, your E-Bay password, etc.) and when you are on a website requiring the aforementioned info., Z/A will not allow the transmission of this info. by inserting “X’s where info. was; then you tweak to release info. when you want. It’s great!

Zone alarm has been around for quite awhile now and it has gotten better and better. I like the pro version because it includes the OS firewall and anti-spy features. I haven't paid for many pieces of software and usually go for good freeware but this one has been worth every cent. I still use my own anti-virus along side it and they work seamlessly. It works great with vista as well.
